Who are we and why should you care?

Teamleader is a SaaS scale-up founded in 2012 in Ghent, Belgium and since 2022, part of the Visma Group. Our goal is to automate and simplify work for small and medium European businesses. With Teamleader Focus, we simplify work for small businesses by offering an all-in-one solution for CRM, project management and invoicing. Teamleader Orbit, acquired in 2019, focuses on helping medium-sized agencies thrive. In 2022, we acquired Vectera, which provided our new Customer Meeting add-on. Find out more about Teamleader as a company, our products and why you should consider applying, here.

We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to join us on our mission

You configure, improve and maintain our Infrastructure environmentsContinuous Deployment / Continuous Integration pipeline in close collaboration with our development teams.

You are no stranger to infrastructure as code’, know your way around a terminal and ‘automate all the things!’ is baked into your lifestyle. With your razor-sharp data-driven, analytical and critical mind, you monitor the performance of our application and implement improvements whenever you see fit. As our application continues to grow, it’s your responsibility to help scale the cloud infrastructure and increase redundancy if deemed necessary. In addition, you perform disaster recovery tests as well as log analysis and troubleshooting.

On a daily basis, you will work closely with multiple development teams and Quality Advisors ensuring technical alignment on a collaborative “DevOps” roadmap to fortify and improve our cloud platforms. Furthermore, you take part in an on-call standby rotation and help write and update documentation.

We aim to further optimize our build/test/deployment pipelines whilst keeping a continuous eye on cost, developer efficiency, performance & metrics gathering. Any applicable experience in this area and having worked closely with development and/or QA-teams are welcomed.

Why others chose Teamleader: we are lively, not corporate

We have the energy and boldness of a start-up and the expertise and pragmatism of a scale-up. The result: a team of both young and seasoned professionals led by supportive and approachable managers who give recognition and rewards for hard work. You’ll be working in a fast-paced tech environment with open feedback culture and room for initiatives as well as ideas. You’ll have plenty of room to apply your personality, express yourself, and impact our course of action with your insights or ideas.

On top of that, you’ll get:

  • An extensive training budget

  • hybrid working model: a pleasant mix of office and home working. Find out more here.

  • personal tooling budget, to make working from home as comfortable as from our offices.

  • Daily budget-friendly in-house prepared lunch and dinner options at our HQ, as well as Free Food Fridays, Friyays at our offices and numerous sport initiatives!

  • Competitive and market-conform salary with compensations and benefits, including mobility options.

  • 32 holidays on top of the standard public ones! (based on full-time employment at BE or NL)

  • Our long-lasting dedication to employee well-being, just take a look at our career page and Instagram to see how we keep the Team(leader) spirit going.

We value diversity

Our ambition is to build and sell a product that helps everyone everywhere (starting with Europe) to work smarter, so we want our team to reflect that, too. We believe a diverse, inclusive working environment is crucial to realise that ambition, so we are committed to continue to build and cherish a culture where every colleague feels welcome, appreciated and heard.

  • You can rely on 2-5 years of experience in DevOps practices and have developed/implemented/improved a pipeline-or-two. You know exactly what Infrastructure as Code is and are an active and experienced advocate & implementer.
  • You are an advanced troubleshooter and know exactly how to create a detailed RCA after/during an incident and implement a long-term fix and not just apply a hotfix/patch. You make strategic decisions to make things great and have an active role into the infrastructure & devops design.
  • You understand what the business values are and know how to act on technical solutions so as to improve the overall stack by implementing change (technical and non-technical) in a structured way, collaborate with development teams and be an implementer of a devops culture.
  • The larger engineering team ( Operations, Quality Assurance, Development ) and our support departments can rely on you for properly written documentation & guidelines and you know how to explain one and other to the team!
